STUMPY’S MOTORCYCLES dates back to 1940, originating in North Jersey in Lodi. For those of you who maybe think that one of us has a missing limb – NO! No one is missing a limb thank God. A question frequently asked “Where did the name STUMPY’S come from?” Well STUMPY’S is a nickname for the last name of the founder of STUMPY’S Grandpa (Frank) Stumpf and his wife Mae. They started with Indians and reconditioned (by Grandpa) Harley-Davidson® police bikes.
The business moved to Moonachie (which is now the Meadowlands Parking Lot!) and then to our present location here in Neptune in 1962.
Our staff here at Stumpy’s has been serving the needs for motorsports enthusiasts for over 42 years here at the Jersey Shore. After selling several different brands throughout the years YAMAHA has offered more friendly and courteous support to our dealership and customers than any other manufacturer. Our customer satisfaction levels are very high. We thank YAMAHA for their continued success in supplying Stumpy’s with some of the highest quality, sharpest looking and best performing motorcycles, ATV’s, personal watercraft, scooters and jet boats in the motorsports industry today.
